For over two decades, Glynnis Fawkes has traveled to the Mediterranean to work as an archaeological illustrator. In 2025, she finds herself in a remote mountain village in Crete—but instead of illustrating Bronze-Age pottery, she's drawing comics.

Beautifully rendered in brown and blue inks, Mudhouse documents Glynnis's time at an artist residency in Crete, where she shares meals with fellow artists, takes long solo hikes, and reflects on a difficult year.
