Carlito is a ten-year-old boy from Peru who is growing up in Spain. He likes reading European comics and watching American cartoons. He also likes Juan, a boy from his judo class, but that's a secret. Over the next eight years, his family moves from Spain to Peru, and then to America. Adjusting to a new life in a new country can be difficult, but Carlito meets each change with optimism and an open heart. "Carlito" is a queer coming-of-age story based on cartoonist's Carlo Quispe's own life.
